HEALED LARGE COLOR TATTOO

Definition: A fully healed color tattoo that exceeds 8x8 inches in any direction, demonstrating advanced color work, complex composition, and masterful execution on a larger canvas.
Requirements & Guidelines:
Size Specifications:
  • Minimum dimension: Over 8 inches in height, width, or diameter
  • No maximum size limit
  • Must cover significant skin area to showcase large-scale artistry
Healing Requirements:
  • Tattoo must be completely healed (minimum 6-8 weeks post-completion due to size)
  • No scabbing, peeling, or signs of fresh tattooing
  • Skin texture normalized across entire piece
  • No raised areas or healing inconsistencies
Color Criteria:
  • Must contain multiple colors (minimum 3 distinct hues)
  • Vibrant, well-saturated pigmentation throughout
  • Complex color blending and gradient work
  • Consistent color saturation across large surface area
  • Advanced shading and highlighting techniques
Technical Standards:
  • Exceptional linework precision and consistency
  • Smooth transitions between color sections
  • Advanced shading and dimensional work
  • No technical flaws (blowouts, patchiness, inconsistent saturation)
  • Demonstrates mastery of large-scale tattooing techniques
Artistic Composition:
  • Complex design elements and composition
  • Proper flow with body contours
  • Balanced visual weight across the piece
  • Cohesive artistic vision throughout
Submission Requirements:
  • Both Client and Artist must be in Attendance.
  • Artist and Shop must ne in a Booth, registered in the show. 
  • If a cover-up, before phots are recommended.
  • Before/during progress photos (optional but encouraged)
