HEALED LARGE COLOR TATTOO
Definition: A fully healed color tattoo that exceeds 8x8 inches in any direction, demonstrating advanced color work, complex composition, and masterful execution on a larger canvas.
Requirements & Guidelines:
Size Specifications:
- Minimum dimension: Over 8 inches in height, width, or diameter
- No maximum size limit
- Must cover significant skin area to showcase large-scale artistry
Healing Requirements:
- Tattoo must be completely healed (minimum 6-8 weeks post-completion due to size)
- No scabbing, peeling, or signs of fresh tattooing
- Skin texture normalized across entire piece
- No raised areas or healing inconsistencies
Color Criteria:
- Must contain multiple colors (minimum 3 distinct hues)
- Vibrant, well-saturated pigmentation throughout
- Complex color blending and gradient work
- Consistent color saturation across large surface area
- Advanced shading and highlighting techniques
Technical Standards:
- Exceptional linework precision and consistency
- Smooth transitions between color sections
- Advanced shading and dimensional work
- No technical flaws (blowouts, patchiness, inconsistent saturation)
- Demonstrates mastery of large-scale tattooing techniques
Artistic Composition:
- Complex design elements and composition
- Proper flow with body contours
- Balanced visual weight across the piece
- Cohesive artistic vision throughout
Submission Requirements:
- Both Client and Artist must be in Attendance.
- Artist and Shop must ne in a Booth, registered in the show.
- If a cover-up, before phots are recommended.
- Before/during progress photos (optional but encouraged)
