CONTEST CATEGORY DEFINITIONS: FRESH : BEST OF SHOW

FRESH BEST OF SHOW

Definition: The overall best freshly completed tattoo across all categories, representing the highest level of artistic achievement, technical excellence, and overall impact at the contest while still in the fresh healing stage.
Requirements & Guidelines: MUST WIN 1 of the 3 BEST OF DAY CATEGORIES. Multiday is NOT included in BEST of Day or BEST of SHOW as a Multi-Day or Multi-Artist Piece Cannot compare or compete against a single Artist. 
Fresh Tattoo Requirements:
  • Tattoo must be started and completed within show hours for each day. Must Win a Best Of Day To Enter. 
  • Multiple Day Pieces can ONLY enter Sunday's Multi-day or Collab Contest
  • May NOT show signs of partially healed
  • Should be clean, will be wiped at the stage, do not send to the stage in bandages
Best of Show Criteria:
  • Open to ANY style, size, or technique
  • Must represent the absolute pinnacle of tattooing excellence
  • Exceptional artistic vision and creativity
  • Flawless technical execution
  • Outstanding overall impact and presentation
Technical Standards:
  • Perfect execution regardless of style chosen
  • Innovative approach or exceptional skill demonstration
  • Flawless technical quality with no visible flaws
  • Masterful use of chosen techniques and style
Submission Requirements:
  • Both Client and Artist must be in attendance at the contest
  • Artist must be registered with the show and assigned to a booth
  • If a coverup: Detail shots showing the coverup work and transformation details
Special Note: This category winner is selected from all FRESH category entries and represents the overall champion of fresh tattoo work at the contest.
The Winner of Each BEST OF SHOW becomes the Designer for the following year's Poster, Receives their booth FREE the following year and goes on to compete at the end of the Tour against the other cities BEST OF SHOW WINNERS for BEST OF TOUR!
Winner of BEST OF TOUR receives the entire following years BOOTH (an 8x8 PREMIUM SOLO BOOTH) in every city, as the awarded prize.
